This I believe was the fist Grace Livingston Hill book I read. It remains my favorite to this day. Marcia's goodness and self-sacrifice, endear her to the reader in no time at all. She takes her sister's place, when her sister runs off on the day of her wedding. Slowly Marcia and her new husband, learn to understand and love each other. Of course, the course of true love never runs smoothly and Marcia has several difficult situations to overcome. But she does deal with it through the grace of God. That is another thing I love about Mrs. Hill's books God is always at the center of her books. If you want a good Christian romance novel to read then this is a great one to start with.
