Both stories are very similar: Single mother who had an irresponsible ex-husband and now are gun-shy with having anything more than a fling with a guilt filled widow. With Mallery's story, it is part of a series featuring the Haynes brothers and Kevin Harmon ("Completely Smitten").

Both books were decent. They weren't spectacular and nothing dramatic happens but characters overcoming their fears and insecuries.

I've never read Tanya Michaels before but have read a lot by Susan Mallery. The stories were good enough to read when you have nothing else to do but they weren't so good that I had to hunt down every book ever written by them.
