This book is a tough review. Do not attempt to read it if you are depressed or upset.
It is vile and disgusting. That said, I couldn't put it down; the very nastiness of the book just sort of drug me along behind it. Ending caught me entirely unawares. I ended up with ugly nightmares the two nights it took me to read this late at night in bed. Be warned.
