Possibly the best so far in the series, this adventure finds bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on the wrong side of some murderous gang members who've ordered a hit on her. She also finds herself in Ranger's bed, in his lair. Or does she? Steph also encounters a pack of amorous dogs, a phone sex operator, and the usual cadre of miscreant "FTAs." Her family's affairs continue to be a source of aggravation and chuckles -- this time, there's a familiar face playing an exceptionally odd role. And don't miss what happens when Connie, Lula and Steph kidnap a seriously bad guy with the intention of beating some essential information out of him.
