This was a fun & rather straightforward novelization of Eleanor of Aquitaine's life. It doesn't have all the sex of Alison Weir's book (or so I've been told - I haven't read that one yet) or the blunt-force-trauma-to-the-face ponderous research of Sharon Kay Penman's trilogy. There's nothing new here, but if you want a brain candy refresher or a quick read for your challenge stats, then it's worthwhile. Holland also wrote as Charlotte Lamb, and a few of her Harlequin Presents writerly quirks showed up now and then.
