Loved that we finally received a follow up with a secondary character from a previous book (Dagues is Drustan's brother from Kiss of the Highlander) and wasn't left hanging as in some of Moning's other books (WHAT HAPPENED TO DUNCAN!!!) I love books with dark, disturbed heros and Dageus is the best one yet! The ending fell a little short for me...would of preferred a little more action. I do think Moning's heroine's are starting to feel somewhat contrived...always wee little 21 century virgins with mostly/all dead family...really!?!? Still this book is a great read!
