A Pride and Prejudice re-write but with Darcy Fitzwilliam as the female character and Luke Bennett. Darcy is from a super wealthy family but also has worked hard and become president of a hedge fund by the age of 29. Luke is from her hometown of Pemberley and is a carpenter. When she goes home to visit family they meet at her family's annual Christmas party. Lots of drama of who says what to who, who is hurt by the comments, who gets engaged and then breaks the engagement the next day. Lots of behavior that is childish and not believable of someone who is supposedly a successful financier. Of course they end up happy and they surmount their pride and prejudice to form a solid relationship. But the drama and childish behavior made me not really like Darcy as a character and all seemed a little unbelievable.
