Quentin Mansfield has superb looks, magnificent prospects, and a wonderful weakness for Theo. Now all she has to do is tame his dragon of an aunt, the imperious countess Verridge, and rid herself of the arrogant John Debenham, who infuriatingly assumes that Theo is his. But Theo soon learns that the most obvious suitor is not necessarily the best one, and that her impulses may lead her into a most dreadful mistake.
