I'll be honest....I could not get past page 27....I like Christian fiction but this book....it's either set in a time wheb things were more rigid or I just do not like the characters. Thornton is babied by his wife and has ger fetch everything and everyone. Treated like an idol. Thorntons thoughts are weird too...He lives all his children of course but he dotes and revers abd insude his head describes hiss daughter rose in a way I kept thinking......perv alert! Which its not tge case but.....eh. I figured I didnt want to waste my time on the remaining pages of this droll book.
