When a former girlfriend shows up on his doorstep, Doc Ford is a little confused since she is now married. It turns out that her husband has vanished and she wants Doc's help in finding him. As the investigation stretches deep into the Everglades, Doc uncovers more and more sinister plots and people on his quest for closure and, if need be, justice.
