Very good mystery series. Set in the 1800s. The servants of Inspector Witherspoon realize they've got the best master ever but not quite the smartest so they solve his mysteries without him knowing they do so that they can keep there happy home going. In this one a demanding, domineering woman doesn't believe it when the medium at the seance tells her she will die - but she does. The servants don't believe it has anything to do with the supernatural and they set out to prove it is a very human and horrible crime.
