Normally, chemistry didn't present a challenge to ten-year-old genius Patty. But man-woman chemistry was a different thing, and it had Patty stumped.

Patty thought she only had to find the perfect father, introduce him to Mom, and the rest would take care of itself. But Mom and Murphy O'Rourke weren't showing any signs of chemistry.

They didn't hold hands--they had snowball fights. They didn't kiss--they teased each other mercilessly. Maybe chemistry was like magic--somehow, suddenly, it just happened. So maybe Patty didn't have to worry, for the most magical things happened at Christmas.
