The 9th installment in the series but perfectly okay for new readers to start here. I read it in a day - there's plenty of action - but it's been sitting next to my PC for a week while I tried to come up with something that I haven't already said about the previous 8. It's a perfectly fine entry in the series, the puzzle was interesting and didn't quite go in the direction I expected, I still like the characters (although Joanna is getting a bit melodramatic), I like the setting, and I'd like to see more of some of the secondary characters. From a quality standpoint Jance put out a good product that I enjoyed while reading it, but I won't remember it long.
