Book Review of The Out-of-Sync Child: Recognizing and Coping with Sensory Integration Dysfunction

Great book! A keeper. This is a wonderful resource for parents and educators. If you have a child who is hypersensitive or undersensitive to noises, movements, tastes, textures and sights, you'll want this book. The author gives wonderful, easy to do activities you can do at your home to help your child. You'll recognize why some children are constantly fidgeting and on the go, seemingly unable to concentrate or why others seem so scared of things that shouldn't frighten them at all. There are valid reasons for why these children react the way they do. They aren't trying to be difficult. They are reacting to the way their senses (not yours or mine) are ordered. If you recognize your child in this description, please get the book. I found it so helpful, but unfortunately it's too good to swap. It's a great book for children who have ADD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders or similar conditions.
