Book Review of Exile in Guyville: How a Punk Rock Redneck Faggot Texan Moved to West Hollywood and Refused to Be Shiny and Happy

reviewed on + 347 more book reviews

A gay curmudgeon's take on life in L. A. Although he and his partner, Morocco Mole, ended up in the middle of the West Hollywood ghetto (from Texas), this isn't entirely a gay book, but about dwelling on the bad there, while slowly recognizing the good (albeit grudgingly). White is naturally funny, and a wicked good writer to boot!
