An incredible masterwork--as if Stephen Wolfram has lifted up the petticoat of the the universe and we can see all the seams now. I recommend skipping the first chapter the first time through--this chapter is all about why no one ever thought of this before and can come off as megalomaniacal--and jump straight to the thesis starting on Chapter Two and decide for yourself whether this is a new insight. Before dismissing him as conceited, bear in mind that this is Stephen Wolfram: he earned his PhD at age 20 and by his mid-thirties had written Mathematica--THE software used by virtually every working astrophysicist, mathemetician, and particle physicist today. It's not conceit if you really are brilliant, after all. This book is the Principia of our time.
