Where to start? Jax is a wonderfully strong character with the right amount of vulnerability.

"I could counter that he's mad for loving me, but that might make him question it. And I don't want that, even though I'm afraid of hurting him, afraid of losing him. Afraid of damn near everything. But I refuse to let it paralyze me."

New characters join Jax's team; Jael and Hit. Both are great additions and I love how they all work together to accomplish their tasks. Not sure where Jax's and March's relationship is going (or not going). (Anyone who picks this up and expects a romance/HEA: adjust your expectation now. This is gritty, knock-your-socks-off sci-fi with a kick-ass female heroine who has to go through a lot of shit.)

My only issue is Jax had/has too much of a guilt complex and blames herself for things that aren't her fault (at least not directly).

I enjoyed this just as much as Grimspace. Ann Aguirre is going on my auto-buy list!
