I so looked forward to reading this book because I have a small flock of chickens myself. The book was a huge disappointment. The chickens are barely covered and her carelessness in taking of them was to me abominable. Most of the story was about her and I wanted to hear about the chickens. My chickens all have their own personality and I gain great delight and enrichment just sitting out in the yard and watching them. That is what I was looking for in this book and it never happened, at least not to my satisfaction.
