The illegitimate son of the late Duke of Kilmorgan, Lloyd Fellows has made a name for himself as a detective with Scotland Yard. Now he has been called to a crime scene where the Bishop of Hargate was murdered. The main suspect is Lady Louisa Scranton. Lloyd has met Louisa at family gatherings since her sister is married to his step-brother. As a matter of fact, Lloyd has been fascinated by Louisa since he first met her and she kissed him. He knows Louisa would never murder anyone, and he vows to protect her and find out who really killed the Bishop.
I couldn't wait to read Lloyd & Louisa's story after their short encounters in the last two books. This story has a good romance, lots of sexual tension, and a mystery that kept me guessing. I just wish it had been a full-length novel. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
