This is a fantastic story, even for this "self-appointed, so-called, World War II expert," who has read countless books on that period. It was news to me. I love reading about little known events and people, as they add so much color to history. That a small group of boys could decide to resist the entire German Army, while the rest of their nation was still trying to understand what happened, is astounding.

Of course, they really weren't the only ones. There are other stories about individuals who decided to fight the Nazis. But "The Churchill Club" showed the Danish people resistance was possible, if not required. After all, if young boys could accomplish what they did, what more could adults do?

This is a Scholastic book, but I recommend it to adult readers too.
