Gillian is a nun in a convent awaiting to take her final vows when King Henry the VIII dissolves all of them and gives the property away to his favorite subjects. The nuns disperse looking for shelter elsewhere, Gillian stays behind with the prioress who is to sick to journey. As Gillian cares for the prioress the new owner of the land arrives Miles. He is a young, handsome brash knight who has been given this land in the north. He is at first dismayed to find two nuns still in residence but soon he ends up falling for Gillian and helping her find her place in the world. Of course before we can have our HEA, Miles jilted suitor shows up and causes havoc.

This was a good book, nothing fantastic but nothing horrid either, an enjoyable read. I really enjoyed the time period and the author's details.
