Second of the Michael Bennett novels after "Step on a Crack", this story also takes place in New York City. If you've read the Alex Cross series, you will see many similarities in the main characters: both have lost their wives, both have a brood of kids, both are law enforcement professionals with experience working for two agencies. Although Bennett isn't my favorite of Patterson's characters, it is a typically fast paced, quick read that will not disappoint.
