This book was very well written and well done. Helen tells her own story at the same time as she tells her grandmother's story, in such a way the reader is never confused over the timeline. Most of the book is really Grandma Lily's story in China, and later in England. It is a book about heritage, the things that remain the same through changing years, and the love of a multi-generational family. I highly recommend.
