This explains a lot - it really does! Written in layman's terms it explains not only what dogs see, hear and smell but also how they learn from their humans, how they take their cues from our behavior and how they learn to fit so seamlessly into our lives. You won't look at your dog quite the same after reading this book but you my find yourself studying them more intensely. She intersperses her text with diary entries of her own interactions with her dog Pump (Pumernickle) which gives a personal touch to the academic side of the book.
