I think as far as a young adult story goes this was pretty decent. And since i enjoyed this story so much i have the other parts of the series' on order. I am a mortuary science and forensic science major, and i found this book pretty accurate as far as some of the depictions of the autopsies and terms that they used. The character development I felt was lacking just a tad but i really did enjoy this book and plan on reading ALL of the sequels.
I think some people forget that this is a YA book and that its not necessarily pulitzer prize winning material it still holds its own among young adult and horror/suspense novels out there :P
I gave this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I believe people are a little too harsh and expect a perfect novel, give this book a chance i enjoyed it!
