Leah escapes an abusive past and ends up in a small South Carolina town. She meets Lulu, owner of a cafe, who gives her a job and a place to stay. She also meets bachelor Crowley, a lawyer who can help Leah. I thought this book was good, but it deals with traumatic events surrounding Leah's past, making it possibly sensitive to some readers.
