The mystery aspect was a nice follow up to the first book but some of the personal byplay in the book is annoying. Scarlett is already, IMO, Jessica Fletcher--doing stuff she really has not business doing and doing things no one would really do. While I really enjoyed the set up of the first book, this one was a bit of a let down. But I have noticed that this author seems to have a difficult time with character relationships--all her series have to have these tortured romantic relationships, which detract from the rest of the story. While I hope the next one will focus a bit more on the murder and not the turmoil, I don't hold out much hope.
