Daughter of a Daughter of a Queen by Sarah Bird does so many things that I love about historical fiction. It introduces me to a history â the story of Cathy Williams â that I did not know. It presents a readable story although that story is likely more fiction than history. It motivates me to research the actual history for I always remember the wide gap between actual history and historical fiction.
