I enjoyed this and recommend it with some reservations. The voice of the cat is certainly not what I would have expected, but I'm a dog person; so, what do I know? The main characters is sometimes likeable and sometimes not. Maybe that's reality. She is definitely a modern chick. Overall I enjoyed the story except I was frustrated because of all the times she started to communicate with an animal and was interrupted and foiled, or it didn't work for whatever reason. The gist of the story is a dead man who seems to have been shot and his cat seems to have pulled the trigger.
