The most glaring mistake in this book was leaving out Mickey Gilley. Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmie Swaggart, and Mickey Gilley were all cousins raised in Feriday, Louisiana. Yes, Mickey was born in Natchez, Mississippi, but soon moved to Feriday, LA., to be raised with his cousins. This is true because I'm distantly related to the three men. It was a simple matter to verify this fact online. Shame on Hourly History for such a glaring omission.

I remember when Jerry Lee married his thirteen-year-old cousin, and his career tanked for years. DJs wouldn't play his music because they knew the marriage offended the public. Otherwise, the author captured Jerry Lee's moral conflicts and multiple marriages well.
