I have not read the Pet Sitter series so I wasn't sure what to expect. The story revolves around a pet rescue facility and the murder of a shifty young man involved with animal cruelty and puppy mills. Lauren opens herself up to danger when she starts investigating the murder. I pretty much figured out who the killer was in the first half of the book. An OK read. 3 stars
