great novel about a woman who lets a man become so much the center of her universe that it takes his leaving her for her to really understand the insanity of her blindness. I know this story too well from personal experience, and if you have let a jerk run you into the ground and then desert you because you're not worshipping his highness like you used to, you will love Emily Thorn and how she takes control of her life.

I will agree with the lowest rating reviewer here that she becomes too self-important for a while and acts like a whiny baby, but that was why she went to the retreat. This story is good because it's all about a woman who stops seeing herself as nothing but a victim and, though she is never perfect, isn't afraid to turn it all around for very long. I like that, and I think you will too, even if some of the story gets too unbelievable with the female bonding. Eight women are NEVER that close, much less three, so I found that a bit hard to swallow. Other than that, this is an uplifting and entertaining story of romance and self-discovery. Flaws aside, I think it is very well-written and inspiring.
