I had been so impressed with all the other books I had read by Lisa Wingate. I think I rated all of them 5 stars. This one didn't grab me as much. It was a story within a story, and those for me, just don't read as smoothly. It did end up being very good. A book editor mysteriously comes across an old manuscript laying around the publishing house, and decides to investigate the reason behind the story. There's a lot of mystery behind it. and some interesting twists.
