It makes me sad to give this one a poor review BUT---

It takes at least 75 pages to get the real storyline going after you get through all the syrupy mush of the family history

Once Kip is arrested for manslaughter (which on the inside flap so no spoiler here), I thought okay 'here we go' BUT---

Then here comes all the side stories and they have absolutely nothing to do with the main storyline soooooo boring!

Kistler is too wordy and makes a lot of noise that is not necessary for this story, I finally had to skip and skim and it ended up a very unsatisfactory read for me

I don't say 'don't waste your time' because there will be some that will really like this one but for me it just didn't hold my interest as a book should if it is well written, maybe without all the side stories and all the 'drivel' she inserted and made it a more 'thrill' story that is more of my kind of reading, this one is just bland for me
