Not the best book, I've ever read. It was very slow going.
Chloe needs the extra money and agrees to go on a translating job for her friend. When she gets there, it doesn't take long for Bastien to think she's been planted there and for Chloe to figure out that the fruit they are talking about is really gun trading.
