After finding his girlfriend in bed with one of his friends, FBI Agent John Shepherd agrees to take part in the elite Hostage Rescue Team training because acceptance would mean he would move to Virginia. But before training begins, John has one last undercover assignment with the new FBI agent at the office. Jessica Harlow has moved to the Chicago office after her recent divorce. When she sees that her new partner is John Shepherd, she can't believe her luck. She and John graduated from the same FBI class where they were adversaries. Now Jessica and John must work together to bring down a corrupt Florida politician. But working together gets complicated when the sparks start to fly.

This is another great addition to Julie James' FBI/U.S. Attorney series. I loved how the hero and heroine start out as enemies, but learn to trust each other as the story progresses. This is a slow-burn type of romance with a good deal of humor and chemistry. My rating: 5 Stars.
