Darcy Barrett and her twin brother Jamie have inherited their Grandmother's dilapidated cottage. The will stated they should fix it up to its former glory and sell it for a huge profit. Childhood friend Tom Valeska has promised to restore the house in record time. He didn't know that the house would be occupied by Darcy while he and his team of builders are doing the work. Darcy is very aware that her childhood crush is now single. She wants to stick around to make sure Jamie's modern ideas don't ruin the cottage. She also wants to see if she has a chance with Tom.

Ugh. After reading Sally Thorne's debut novel and loving it, I was hoping for another great read. This book was very disappointing. I didn't like Darcy. The whole story was told from her point-of-view. There was so much inner dialogue that it was hard to follow what was happening in some of the scenes. And, she put on a tough façade which wasn't appealing at all. Her twin wasn't much better. Actually, he was just kind of weird. Tom was the only character that I really liked. He tried to be perfect in everything and just couldn't live up to it.

The story meandered all over the place. There wasn't much plot to it at all. I can't recommend this book. My rating: 2 Stars.
