I enjoyed reading this book. Don't get me wrong Kiera totally ticked me off at times, but mainly because of what she was doing. No matter what spin you put on it cheating is wrong. So her and Kellan were both to blame.
However at the sametime I can understand. Life isn't black and white. It's not always about the good guy vs the bad guy. Sometimes in making choices about a relationship there is no bad guy. This story represents that. Both Denny and Kellan truly are good guys. Even though at some points in the book Kellan does some awful things. At the sametime you can't help who you fall in love with or out of love with.
I could understand Kiera's struggle with making a decision. Afterall Denny was truly her first love and holds a special place in heart. She loves him and will always love him because of the special place he has. It's hard to let go of that and move on to something else. So I can understand her stuggle and the author did a great job of allowing us to view her personal struggles and emotional turmoil.
I did feel absolutely horrible for Denny though throughout the book. Afterall he did love Kiera and gave up everything to be with her and try to make her happy. So read what was going was also heartbreaking.
A book truly about how people can love more than one person in more than one way. That choices aren't always when dealing with love. What are you truly willing to do and how hard are willing to fight to be with the one person that makes you complete. A book about beginnings, endings, hurt, happiness, and EVERYTHING in between.
In the end I'm glad things were worked out for everyone involved and that all parties seem to have a happy ending....for now. Afterall this is a series so who knows what will happen. I for one am looking forward to reading the 2nd book.
Both guys Kellan and Denny Kellan though more, perhaps because he is a musician, tortured, or versy sexual. No idea but Kellan Kyle is definitely scrumptious.
