Jadie never spoke. She never laughed, or cried, or uttered any sound. She remained locked in her own troubled world. Until Torey Hayden persuaded her to break her silence. Nothing could prepare Torey for the horrendous life Jadie was living. Torey responded with courage, compassion, and dedication. Demonstrating the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit. I could not put this book down. I read it in two sittings. It is a true story written by an educational psychologist.
