The third book in the series, after Miss Wonderful and Mr. Impossible. This book starts out wonderfully, and has well-developed characters and scenes, just like the previous two, but then something goes wrong. In trying to come to an acceptable resolution for Benedict and Bathsheba, Chase drags things on instead of wrapping them up. Too many characters get involved and too many predictable turns take place. Chase's previous books were much tighter and held your interest better. That said, the best part about this book is the two youngsters who stir the action (Olivia and Peregrine). After finishing Lord Perfect, I spent more time wondering about them and their future stories than I did Benedict and Bathsheba. I hope that Chase write their stories soon.
