Another book in Jade Lee's erotic Tigress series. The main character, Shi Po, is a teacher of the Tigress Way. She has dedicated her life to the Taoist ideal: enlightment through ecstasy, through rigid control of the body and mind. But two white women had found Immortality, the goal of this practice. Shi Po is beyond distraught and her husband, Tan Kui Yu, returns home from work to find her in a suicidal state. He has been studying the Tigress way on his own, much to Shi Po's surprise. Though he doesn't know as much as she does, he promises to work with her on the exercises every night, however long it takes, until Shi Po reaches Immortality. Tan Kui Yu is a thoroughly likeable character. He deals with his hysterical wife patiently and with much love. Shi Po is much more tempermental and it was only further in the book that she became more likeable. The final part of the book encompasses the Paranormal. In real life, there is a Tigress teaching whereby ecstasy is achieved through sexual practices. However, I believe the achievement of Immortality is enhanced in a paranormal context in these stories by Jade Lee. There's suspense in this book when Shi Po and her husband are imprisoned by an egomaniacal General. He believes that they're practicing perversion and are a scourge for China. So there's an interesting, suspenseful story along with the sex. With two interesting characters and an evil General, what more can you want?
