Synopsis
Past and present collide violently in the fourth thriller to feature Grant County, Georgia, medical examiner Sarah Linton and her ex-husband, police chief Jeffrey Linton. Two young men enter the police station, kill a deputy, wound Jeffrey, and hold the station house hostage, including several visiting schoolchildren. It's up to the police outside the station to defuse the deadly situation, the motive for which is rooted in a crime that Jeffrey hushed up 12 years ago.
