I believe Tamera Alexander is an author of excellence. Her book, From A Distance is the story of Elizabeth, a woman photographer trying to prove her worth, as she takes pictures of the beautiful Colorado wilderness. Her love interest is Daniel, a former Confederate Sharpshooter whose past has turned him into a loner. Circumstances place them together as they travel to the cliff dwellings for her to see and photograph. Josiah, a former slave is Elizabeth's assistant, who goes with them. Very interesting and entertaining as the characters get to know and help each other as they work out their differences. I highly recommend this book.
