its not kitchen confidential lets put it that way - its a collection of not so sardonic essays that he wrote for other publications - they are not as funny or entertaining as kitchen confidential - if u love bourdain this is him on low heat - there is a collection of afterthoughts for each essay that you will find helpful to read the minute u are done with each essay - as they do tend to run on - all in all not impressed and i really looked foward to it as i had just completed kitchen confidential - be warned there is foul language and mature themes no different in that respect from his other works
