What a creative method of relaying a story!! I know that this is the first time I've read a book by a group of different authors with a common theme running throughout. From beginning to end it was exciting and cohesively written - inspite of the time periods across which the story thread had to travel in order to be part of the different authors' areas of interest. It was kind of fun too, to run into familiar characters ie. Crowner John, his friend Gwyn, Sir Baldwin Furnshill and Bailif Simon Puttock. In the shortened format, I still managed to glean new information about characters whom I have been reading about for months!
P.S. Beware trinkets that seem to hold the promise of fortunes are often the cause of misfortune.
I highly recommend even if you're not a fan of the medeival period this is a great read that keeps your interest!
