After finishing the third book in the Trilogy I asked for it and EL James wrote it. I wanted a book about Christians life Pre Ana or maybe a book from his point of view. I would be interested in side books written by Christians staff or ex-submissives, it would be nice to hear their thoughts.

But I am slightly disappointed in the book. I found Christian very dull. In the Fifty Shades of Grey, he is presented to you as this amazing business man, so powerful. In Grey he comes across as a teenager that just hit puberty. I read the book because I was very interested in the his back story, you will not find too much of it in here. This book sticks to the Fifty Shades of Grey timeline. I did have a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey and checked a few of the storylines to see how they matched up.

When I read the Trilogy there was no movie or talk of movie, so I was able to use my own mental images. While reading Grey, I could not get the movie character images out of my head. I have not seen the movie but from seeing previews and interviews, not sure it was cast well.

I would say youre not missing much if you skip this book.
