Josh Bazell doesn't shy away from action or telling a good story. Fast paced, yet easy to follow, Bazell's not afraid to throw in some raw sex, rough language, and graphic scenes, so if you're offended by that, stay away from this book.

Peter Brown is a former hit man for the mob and currently under the witness protection program, working on a cruise ship, which he detests. When he gets a call for another job, he jumps at the chance to get off the boat. He's hired to be a bodyguard for a paleontologist when they go to investigate a claim of a "monster" in a lake in Minnesota. There are a few twists and turns to keep the reader guessing and while I personally found the storyline to be farfetched, it still made for a good read. Bazell throws in humor throughout, which also makes for a fun book.
