This book didn't really do anything for me. It is, as the title says, a guide your girlfriends could have written. Since I have plenty of friends with children around the same age as mine, I didn't get anything out of this book. It's written with humour, and from an individual mother's perspective, but I find my own parenting philosophy to be more coherent than the one presented in the book.
