Book Review of The Styx Complex

THIS IS A HARD-TO-PUT-DOWN, WELL-WRITTEN, FASCINATING, CHILLING, AND
wonderfully romantic page-turner! MICHAEL DE PASSE is an adventurer,
HUGH MARLOW is a ship-captain, and SARA is a beautiful young orphan,
17 years old, who becomes the ward of AVA BARDOFF, a world-famous
cosmetics queen. Ava seems kind....but events prove she is truly up
to no good. The very beginning tells of several well-known people
committing suicide....seemingly for no reason. Is Ava involved?
(Yep!) Is Sara in deadly danger? (Naturally!) Does Michael de
Passe and Hugh Marlow come to her aid? Yes. But this is far from
a simplistic novel. Like the underground "Styx Complex" (which is
a place, not a psychological disorder), there are twists and turns
galore -- danger seems everywhere, in every place....from the sunny
seas and tranquil ship captained by Hugh Marlow, to Ava Baroff's
glamourous salon suite, to....the horrendous undergound Styx Complex
itself!
