Once again, truth is much stranger.... A young mother goes totally berserke and stabs her supposedly abusive husband about 200 times. His body, discovered a week later in the back yard where she had buried it, still had ties around wrists and ankles showing he had been tied to the bed frame. The bloody mattress was also in the yard. After a week of sleeplessness and frenzied attempts to cover up the murder the wife breaks and seeks legal help. When she goes to trial, we're introduced to a fascinating prosecutor, a female attorney in the Houston, TX DA's office, who has been named one of the country's best lawyers. The writer does an excellent job of showing different points of view and possibilities as he presents this unbelievable case. The wife, who claimed long-time spousal abuse,is portrayed as a victim pushed off the edge of sanity. It was hard to put this book down.
